Shell has submitted a plan to be reviewed by partner China National Petroleum Corp. for the development of the Fushun-Yongchuan shale gas block, Joanne Chu, unconventional technical manager for Shell China, told Interfax.

Chu added a final decision on the block is expected to be made later this year.

Shell has drilled 22 wells in the block in the past two years.
